FAQS

Plumbing FAQs

If you have a burst pipe, turn off your water immediately at the source. A broken pipe can mean a costly amount of water damage to and within your home. A licensed plumber will have to repair your pipes quickly, to prevent further damage to both your pipes and your home.

Turn off your water to prevent further damage from cracks in the pipe and call a licensed plumbing contractor immediately. Leave your faucets open. You may be able to use a hand-held blow dryer to thaw indoor pipes, but never attempt it outside and never try to unfreeze a pipe with an open flame. Safety should always be your major priority and attempting this can only cause further harm to both you and your pipes.

There are many reasons a drain will run slowly. Broken pipes, root intrusion, grease buildup, offset pipes, rust, corrosion, ragging, encrustation, deposits attached and more. We have seen it all. A proper pipe inspection will allow us to determine the best course of action.

Your water heater should last between 8-12 years, on average. However, an electric water heater can last between 10-15 years, so be sure to check which one you have before making any decisions. However, if you’ve seen any of the following issues, you may need a new hot water heater:
– Rust or dark colored water
– No hot water
– Flooding around your water heater

Clogged drains are one of the most common plumbing problems we encounter. Often these problems stem from putting something bad down your toilet or sink, causing the pipe to clog. In your bathroom, here are things you should avoid putting down the toilet:
– Any paper products other than toilet paper
– Sanitary products or diapers
– Cleaning tools, like flossers, q-tips, cotton balls
– Cat litter
– And more
For your garbage disposal or sink, be sure to avoid:
– Apple and potato peels
– Coffee grounds
– Large food scraps
– Anything plastic or metal

Are you experiencing any of the following issues?
– Low water pressure
– Cloudy water
– Settling soil or foundation cracks
– Strange pipe noises
If so, you may have an issue with your pipes, which will likely need professional repairs.

“We were able to save tons of money when the Dynamic team came out to evaluate our backups and drainage systems. Not only did they give us an honest evaluation but they provided us with copies of everything in order to pass on to our tenants. We were able to show them the proof in the pudding of how and why their units were backing up faster than the rest”
